Alex Pothen is an Indian-born American computer scientist and applied mathematician who is a professor at Purdue University. His research primarily focuses on combinatorial scientific computing (CSC), graph algorithms, parallel computing, and bioinformatics algorithms. Pothen was born in Munnar, Kerala, India.
