Percival Lowell

Siapa ini?

Percival Lawrence Lowell (13 Maret 1855 – 12 November 1916) merupakan seorang pengusaha, penulis, matematikawan, dan astronom Amerika yang berspekulasi tentang kanal di Mars. Ia mendirikan Observatorium Lowell di Flagstaff, Arizona, dan memimpin sebuah usaha yang berpuncak pada ditemukannya Pluto empat belas tahun setelah kematiannya. Pemilihan nama Pluto dan simbolnya salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh inisialnya PL.
