Olivia Isabel Rodrigo (born February 20, 2003) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She began her career as a child, appearing in commercials and the direct-to-video film An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success (2015). She rose to prominence with her leading roles in the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark (2016–2019) and the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (2019–2022). Rodrigo shifted her focus to music and signed with Geffen Records, releasing her debut studio album, Sour (2021). It spawned her first two US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles, "Drivers License" and "Good 4 U". The documentary Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U followed in 2022. In 2023, she released her second studio album, Guts, which was supported by her third US number-one single, "Vampire". Her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, is scheduled to be released on June 12, 2026, and is preceded by the US number-one single "Drop Dead". Rodrigo has achieved four Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles and two Billboard 200 number-one albums. Her accolades include three Grammy Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and seven Billboard Music Awards. She was named Time's Entertainer of the Year in 2021, Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2022, and ASCAP's Pop Music Songwriter of the Year in both 2022 and 2024.
