Anh Đào Traxel

Who is this?

Anh Dao Traxel is the foster daughter of the late French president Jacques Chirac (1932–2019) and his wife Bernadette (1933–2026). She was a boat-person refugee, and met Jacques Chirac, then the Mayor of Paris, at Roissy Airport in 1979. He told her "Don’t cry, ma chérie. You are coming home with us" and took her home. She was then 21 and her adoptive father was 47.
